Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the message distribution network reviewed at the actor level and system level on Twitter with the phenomenon of failed Indonesia to host the FIFA U-20 World Cup using the "FIFA" link. The method used in this study used a mix methods approach with Social Network Analysis data analysis techniques. The study's population is active Twitter users, with a sample of 10000 tweets taken on March 31, 2023 based on data collection techniques using Netlytic.org's unpaid web-based application and gephi device 0.10.1. The theory used by researchers is the spiral theory of silence. The results of this study found that there are 5 large clusters, namely faktasepakbola, idextratime, kafiradikalis, erickthohir, and kurawa. The analysis results of "FIFA" networks are large and broad in size, more interactions via retweets and likes, more dominant one-way communication, non-overlapping networks, and information on "FIFA" is conveyed by many without a central majority. The study concluded that the use of social media as a place for minorities to express opinions and expressions for the interactive public on Twitter.
