Abstract

This researcher focuses on the achievement process of two ways communication with the people of Central Jakarta who actively participate in information activities on the social media Instagram @kotajakartacentral. Communication and Information has an important role in every institution because public relations plays a role in the disclosure of government information. Communication and Information information disclosure has a broad scope as well as obstacles to government information disclosure. The theory used in this research uses the GAP theory (James Dillard) with assumptions on the cognitive processes involved in efforts to influence communication starting with goal setting. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a constructivist paradigm. Primary data source is interview with public relations officer at Kominfotik @kotajakarta Pusat. The results of this research show that the communication carried out by the of Kominfotik @kotajakarta Pusat is to build good communication with the public through social media Instagram @kotajakarta Pusat. The aim of Kominfotik @kotajakarta Pusat is to convey information as well as act as a bridge between the government and the public in the openness of public information, Plan of Kominfotik @ Kotajakarta Pusat improves Central Jakarta information and provides creative information through social media @kotajakarta Pusat then builds good communication with the public, Actions / actions to convey information in the form of 24-hour Instagram Stories, Instagram reels, graphic information, information on government work programs, namely actions carried out by public relations communications Kominfotik City of Central Jakarta in openness of public information.
