KOMUNIKASI ANTAR PRIBADI PENGAMEN KUDA LUMPING DENGAN PENGENDARA DI KECAMATAN CIBINONG , BOGOR

Abstract

This research is a study that looks at the inter-personal communication of lumping horse buskers with motorists in Cibinong sub-district, Bogor. The role of interpersonal communication with intercultural communication can be found in this research. Intercultural communication can occur if the communicator and the communicant have a different cultural basis, this condition also occurs where Central Javanese culture (Kuda lumping dance) is communicated to people who do not fully understand the culture. The methodology used in this research is phenomenology which tries to see various phenomena that occur in society from the point of view of communication science. The subject of the research is lumping horse buskers, while the object of research is related to the lumping horse dance originating from Central Java. This research uses the theory of uncertainty reduction and symbolic interaction. Communication between lumping horse buskers and the community requires local cultural adjustments so as to help the community to understand the meaning of the lumping horse dance.
