PENGARUH TERPAAN DAN KEMASAN PROGAM THE NEWSROOM NET TV TERHADAP MINAT MENJADI JURNALIS (Studi pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Gunadarma Depok Angkatan 2015-2018)

This research aims to find out that The Newsroom program has an effect or not on the interest of students to become journalists. This research method is quantitative explanative associative imitation with data collection techniques using a questionnaire consisting of 33 questions. The data calculation process involved 100 respondents (obtained from the Rao Purba formula) assisted with SPSS program version 20.00. The results of the F test obtained F count value (39,925) greater than F table (2,70), then the decission Ho is rejected and H3 is accepted. While the magnitude of the effect of variables X1, X2 simultaneously is 45%, and the side is 55% the effect comes from outside. On the results of the T test, the value of T count X1 and X2 is 3,104 and 4,795 while the T value of the table is 1,985, then the decission is Ho is recected and H1, H2 is accepted. Then the magnitude of the effect of variables X1 and X2 partially on the Y variable is 32% and 40%, while 68% and 60% effect come from outside this research. the effect outside meant is come from individuals, broadcast quality, watching satisfaction, and others. With have a effect, can be said that according to the S-O-R theory that the stimulus is effective because the respondent received stimuli and provided responses interest in becoming a journalist. In order to truly convince and influence the audience's response, The Newsroom program provided additional broadcast time and host, the explanation is in accordance with the S-O-R theory which explains that a response can change if the stimuli given to organisms exceeds befored.
